RESPONSIBILITIES
As the lead Java Developer, your primary responsibilities will be to lead development tasks for the development of medium to large applications for RIM's strategic projects and programs. With a proven track record you will work closely with our Solution Architect partners to analyze and create developer specs, provide effort estimates, develop, test and implement applications to support the various business processes and initiatives. Your key to success is the ability to take a project from start to finish, a positive attitude, innovative thinking, attention to detail and ability to be flexible and work independently in an ever-changing environment.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• University Degree or College Diploma in Computer Science or related discipline
• 8 - 10 years programming experience in J2EE development
• Proficient in Java/JSP development including Servlets, EJB's and SOAP
• Strong understanding of database concepts and design. i.e. Oracle, SQL Server, XML
• Practical experience with Web Services Adherence to standards and SDLC
• Experience with Services Oriented Architecture implementations
• Exceptional organizational skills with the proven ability to multitask
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and apply existing knowledge to current tasks
• Enthusiastic and posses a positive attitude towards position, colleagues and organization
ADDITIONAL ASSETS
• Knowledge and experience with AJAX, GWT
• Experience with configuration of application server such as JBoss
• Project management, mentoring or leadership knowledge
