As the Manager of Software Engineering you will manage a professional software engineering department developing product for a core, high growth product line. This is an industry leading product that has won numerous awards for innovation and usability. Responsibilities include: o. Department and personnel management of 10 to 20 software developers, working as part of a global product development team o. Management oversight of software development projects from requirements through delivery, including customer support. Ensure appropriate quality practices, understanding of customer needs and high degree of product usability. o. Ensure development team remains current and abreast of technology advances and promotes their usage in products and processes. o. Continuously improve development capability utilizing CMMI, Six Sigma and industry best practices. This is toward our goal of producing quality products with high customer appeal delivered in a timely manner. o. Recruit and develop top talent with performance management and compensation responsibility for direct reports. Requirements: o. 7+ years experience developing/leading the development of large scale industrial automation or related software (Required) o. Direct SW engineering management experience desired o. Experience with CMMI, Six Sigma desired o. Degree in EE, CS or Computer Engineering (MS a plus) Notes: o.
