POSITION SUMMARY

This candidate will manage a team whose role is to cover all aspects of demand control for their particular region. They are responsible for overseeing the people and processes to ensure our customers experience a seamless order fulfillment experience. This role will be responsible for driving improvements in current processes as well as creating processes where none exist. Key metrics will be forecast accuracy and on time delivery to customer request.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:
• Support and coach the regional Demand Planner and Account Representative teams as they undertake their day to day activities.
• They will have a deep understanding of demand in the execution horizon for their region and will be able to clearly communicate current status and action items to close to targets for the region.
• They will be responsible for all current and future Demand Control process requirements and will liaise with the SAP functional analysts to ensure the appropriate enhancements are integrated into the Demand Control process.
• This role will roll up the regional demand data and operational metrics and make regular presentations to senior regional leaders regarding demand trends, risks, opportunities and operational metrics. Key focus will be on providing senior business leaders succinct and accurate actionable data in time to have an impact to the business. In addition the manager will be the voice of demand control into the global roll ups.
• They will co-ordinate any abnormal demand requests that involve more than one customer which involves calling allocation meetings and addressing any customer where standard Demand Control best practices have not been successful.
• This will be a highly visible role within the company; daily interaction is required with the designated business unit, demand, supply, finance, and product management. They will also be expected to update senior executives regularly on key issues and initiatives.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• 10 to 12 years experience with a minimum of 7 years at a first line management level in a high tech manufacturing environment
• Experience managing complex multi functional ERP processes, SAP is preferable, but not essential
• CPIM designation would be an asset
• Experience analyzing and managing sell through and inventory trends
• Minimum undergraduate degree, advanced business degree preferred
• Experience in demand prediction and or control
• Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Live link skills
• Professional communication skills, both verbal and written
• Superior organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
• Able to work independently with little supervision working to set deadlines
• Must be able to interact / collaborate effectively with executive level of the organization in a clear, confident, concise manner
